On March 11, 2002, the Nevada Press Association ("NPA") filed a motion for leave to file an amicus curiae brief. On March 14, 2002, respondent filed an opposition to NPA's motion on the grounds that the motion was not timely filed. An amicus curiae brief may be filed only upon the written consent of all parties, or by leave of this court. From a cursory review of the brief, it is apparent that NPA's brief is written in support of appellant/cross-respondent's position in this matter. Despite these deficiencies, and in the interest of judicial economy, we grant the motion. The clerk of this court shall file the amicus curiae brief received on March 11, 2002. Respondent shall file and serve an answering brief to the amicus curiae brief within 20 days from the date of this order.
